I read that story!! I couldn’t believe how horrible he sounded!! Maybe he didn’t want to be accused of making excuses? Or he thought adding that detail would give away too much info for friends to identify both of you? Those are the only reasons I can come up with. Or he didn’t feel comfortable sharing that particular detail about his niece without permission? Sorry if that doesn’t make that much sense, I’m exhausted and it’s kinda late.

Glad to see it. Even though I'm quite far removed generation-wise from my family in Poland, every time I hear about them in the news it's always an embarrassment to share blood. I don't know if they're the worst country for LGBT treatment in Europe, but they certainly seem to be trying to top the list.
