This just proves how irrational our economic system is. What right do these multi billion dollar businesses have to bailouts? They spent nearly all of their profit on stock buybacks, which mostly benefit the shareholders. Have they done anything to improve service for customers or working conditions for their own employees? Why should they exist if they can’t weather a few months of a minor pandemic(historically speaking). It was their irresponsible behavior that got them in that position in the first place let them fold or the government could use that to curb their irresponsible behavior(highly doubt it). If we can’t even rely on government to regulate these motherfuckers why should we be content with following the rules in a system that only benefits those who don’t.
